Drama Scholars Tolethorpe visit

Academic Drama Scholars visited Tolethorpe Hall where they took part in a workshop based on the play ‘Lord of the Flies’ by William Golding. The workshop was run by actors from the Tolethorpe Youth Theatre Group who then performed in the open air theatre.

‘Tolethorpe was such an amazing and educational experience. We had the opportunity to work with other students from other schools, contributing in enjoyable activities, to improve our team work and creativity skills.

We had the chance to experience professional rehearsals and watch a show with students not far from our age, playing the leads. This was inspiring, and allowed us to use the newly aquired knowledge towards our own performing experience. It was the first outdoor performance we have ever seen.

We engaged in a brief interview with the leads and performers, fulfilling our curiosities and how we can work on our own performing skills. It was incredibly fun the whole experience from the small workshop to the performances and interviews.’
