Oundle Drama Festival

On Wednesday 3 April, 68 students in Years 7 - 12 from Catmose College and Harington School competed at the 101st Oundle Festival of Music and Drama.

As part of their current studies, Year 9 students were visited last week by holocaust survivor Martin Stern.

Youth Speaks Competition

Congratulations to Catherine, Abigail and Isatou who have successfully made it through to the National Final of the Youth Speaks Competition.

Spanish Exchange

On Wednesday 3 April, 24 students travelled to Almerimar, Spain, to reunite with their SEK Alborán exchange students, for a week of new experiences and adventures.

LEICESTER RIDERS TRIP

On Friday 29 March students from Year 7 travelled to The Morningside Arena to watch the Leicester Riders play. All thoroughly enjoyed the experience and witnessed some awesome displays of basketball.

CATMOSE DANCE SHOW

On Thursday 4 March over 60 dancers from the College along with pupils from Catmose Primary took part in the 4th Catmose Dance Show.

ARTIST WORKSHOP

Students in Year 9 recently attended a workshop with visiting artist Sue Graham. Sue Graham is a local artist who specialises in painting and printing.

LA ROCHELLE TRIP

A group of Year 8 students travelled to La Rochelle from 1 - 4 March. While we were there, we had many great experiences that I think will stay with everyone as incredible memories.

WORLD BOOK DAY 2019

Staff and students celebrated the wonderful world of books on March 7 for World Book Day by dressing as their favourite characters.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Annual Presentation Evening

On Wednesday 13 February, Catmose College and Harington School celebrated the outstanding achievements of 80 students gaining Bronze, Silver and Gold levels at the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Presentation Evening.

A Week of Sporting Success

Go Wild Elective

Students got to meet some exotic and unusual animals this week as part of their Go Wild Elective. A highlight of the session was meeting the incredibly cute Coati Mundi. It was a fantastic experience for the students to handle some unusual species, all while gaining knowledge about them.

Rutland Poppy Project

The Tempest

Following on from their successful performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest at the Curve Theatre in Leicester, students in Years 8 – 10 took to the stage

Disability Athletics

Students from Catmose College recently took part in the Disability Athletics Competition.

London Theatre Weekend

The students arrived in London at midday and after lunch in Covent Garden went to see School of Rockat the Gillian Lynne Theatre.
