Last weekend the gymnastics squad competed in the East Midlands Regional Floor and Vault competition and the Team Milano Regional Qualifiers, held in Stamford.

In the British Schools Gymnastics Association Floor and Vault, Catmose entered an Under 14 girls team, an Under 14 mixed team and an U19 mixed team. The U14 girls finished in bronze medal position, the U14 mixed finished in silver medal position and the U19 mixed won gold and will now progress to the BSGA Floor and Vault National Finals on 1^stMay.

The Team Milano competition involves an individual floor and vault as well as a team group floor routine. Both our U13 mixed team and U16 mixed team who won gold medal positions and will now compete in the National finals on the 11^th and 12^th of March.

Our U16 Girls team won bronze and have been invited to represent the East Midlands in the U19 category at National Finals.

All students worked incredibly hard preparing for the regionals and will be working to perfect their routines further before representing Catmose and the East Midlands at the Nationals.

Next term we will be running extra-curricular gymnastics open to all year groups, so check the extra-curricular timetable and come to learn some fun skills and a chance to take part in the Catmose College Movement Evening to earn a gymnastics badge.
