Victoria & Albert Museum Art Trip

On Tuesday 28 January Year 10 & 11 GCSE Art and Design students and Art Scholars visited the V&A and Natural History Musuem in London. They visited two exciting contemporary exhibitions to gain primary research and resources for their current GCSE projects.
Students viewed the Tim Walker: Wonderful Things surreal fashion, photography and installation exhibition at the V&A in the morning with independent time to view the cultural galleries of artwork and artefacts to document and photograph. In the afternoon students walked to the Natural History Museum to view the powerful Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition and view the galleries of education models, taxidermy, fossils, sculptures, skeletons and more.
Students will now be able to use this new found inspiration from their trip, photographs and sketches from the day as primary research to write an event review for their studies.
